BuckeyePhantomPhan
Anybody have any experience with AM's 1/72 F-4J kit? I mainly build 1:48 but Spru Bros has these kits on super special.
Rex
look for tips and hints or reviews of the Monogram F-4J or F-4C,,,,,,,,AM's kits of those two are from the Monogram molds I like them a lot, and I believe there are others that do also they make a nice change from doing Hasegawa's all the time, and they go together a whole lot faster
Joe Hegedus
The only complaints I have with the Monogram (AM) 1/72 F-4J is that the stabs have the triangular reinforcement plate molded on (a post-Vietnam AF mod) and the lack of empty outboard pylons; no tanks and with the weapon adapter. The only 1/72 source I know of for those are the Fujimi 1/72 Phantom kits. Other than that, the Monogram J is an excellent kit - a scaled down version of the 1/48 one with the cockpit corrected to the proper Navy configuration.
Shawn C.
It comes with a really nice decal sheet as well (Cartograf). No need for aftermarket unless you do not like the schemes provided.
