Hi Slider CRO

In Boeing P-26 variants (Aerofax) there's another photo of what appears to be the same plane, however it's listed as the first prototype. Two more photos appears in Boeing P-26 peashooter (Aero) book as Y1P-26 without giving information whether it's the first or the third prototype. Anyway Aerofax book states Olive drab colour of the fuselage had been changed to Blue. No changes in wing or vertical and horizontal tail is reported so it's safe to assume they were left in Chrome Yellow colour. Regards

Jure

Judging from the photograph you linked to, it's hard to say as it looks very weather beaten. A similar photo I have dated to 1936 of the XP-936 (and looks to be the exact airframe down to the uncovered spats)and it looks to be Blue 23 with Yellow 4 wings. The "US ARMY" is present under the wings.
