Mike J. Idacavage
Any chance I can get you interested in covering a few of the Birmingham's RF-4Cs on a sheet or two? These had some great nose art after the Gulf War. I can send you some photos that I took while the ANG still had some of the art on their aircraft. The weather that day was really poor and my camera was not state of the art but I do have the references! Here's an example: No one has done any of the Birmingham's Phantoms with this nose art as far as I know. Ah, to have it in 1/72!!!!! Have fun modeling! Mike :cheers:/>/>
KursadA
These look great. Can you (and anyone who has ANG F-4 references from any state) please send these to my e-mail address "info AT caracalmodels.com"? I am still gathering research materials and have not decided on individual subjects yet, but I plan to have a pretty extensive set of ANG F-4 sheets in anticipation of the AF version of the Academy kit. I might even try a large format sheet.
otis252
Please can we have those RF-4C's and D's in the ANG Hill Grey scheme in 32nd scale!!These have been overlooked forever! Chuck
Mike J. Idacavage
Kursad They are all yours! I'll scan the photos that I have and will send them to you over the next week. I have a good network within the F4 community and could probably get other detail shots from that day (or at least on those aircraft) if you find that you are missing any details. It would be fantastic if some of these make it to one of your decal sheets! Have fun modeling! Mike :cheers:/> These look great. Siamese11
KursadA, I will be in for a set of ANG, especially since you will include North Dakota Happy Hooligans F-4D's on a sheet. Hopefully you will make them in 1/32. Dan
KursadA
I am still working on these. Many of you have sent me excellent reference material, and I already made a lot of progress. For shape-specific design elements (e.g. fin caps and intake splitter plates etc.), I will provide options for Academy (I am using the new F-4B kit) and Hasegawa kits, so the decals will work when the Academy F-4C inevitably arrives later. My guess is I will be able to have the first sheet completed by mid-February, which means it could be a March release. I will eventually release all of these in 1/72 and quite a few in 1/32 as well. Please just be patient, and follow the thread for updates.
JackMan
Why doesn't anyone want to give Hawaii any love? No Hawaii F-15 decals, no F-4 decals. :(/>/>, For Hawaii Eagles, I believe the old Repliscale sheet included them in 1/72: http://modelingmadness.com/others/decals/traillrs1020.htm And they pop up occasionally on Ebay. The low-viz ones are also available though I can't recall off the top of my head who made them (Superscale?) Hasegawa released both 1/72 & 1/48 kits with Hawaii ANG decals: http://www.hlj.com/product/HSG00937 http://www.hlj.com/product/HSG09808 HTH EDIT: Yup, SS made the lo-viz Hawaii birds: Superscale 72-715 http://modelingmadness.com/scott/decals/super/ss72715.htm Edited January 16, 2013 by JackMan

KursadA
I am getting ready to announce the first two sheets (there will be several), so let's get this thread going again. To simplify the layout and organization of the sheets and instruction manuals, I will be releasing sheets that feature a single camo/paint scheme; i.e. two ADC Grey sheets, two Euro 1 sheets and so on. I won't be posting any profiles or give the slightest hint about the subjects on the sheet until I finish everything and send it to be printed. Until I post some profiles here, assume that I could be working on ANG F-4Cs from any state and any paint scheme. Edited March 6, 2013 by KursadA

KursadA
As I do the final checks before sending these out this week; I am discovering more and more subtle differences in some shapes between the Academy kit and earlier Hasegawa and Monogram kits. For example, the intake boundary-layer splitters etc. are somewhat different and an earlier decal sheet that is designed with the Hasegawa kit might not work here. I just wanted to remind everyone that these sheets will be sized for the new Academy F-4C/D kits (I am using the F-4B parts to design the sheets) in the 1/48 scale, and not the earlier kits. The 1/32 version will be sized for the Tamiya kit (of course), and the 1/72 version most likely for Hasegawa.
ThePhantomTwo
That gives me a reason to buy the Academy F-4C now I have a Tamiya F-4C/D that I was going to cobble together in our units markings but if you kick out some 1/32 sheets as well I'll have to reconsider. :D I wish I could have sent more stuff to you Kursad,my computer fried on me and I have had to take the role as big boss in our department for the last few months,I haven't had the strength to even think about models since late last year.Plus dealing with health issues doesn't help either.
