nightiemission
Outstanding job on that GWH P-61A kit. One of the best I've seen in a long time. I'd like to know how you went about the panel line staining. I've got a couple P-61 builds planned that will need similar work. Cheers, Terry (Certifiable P-61 NUT!!) David Rapasi
Outstanding job on that GWH P-61A kit. One of the best I've seen in a long time. I'd like to know how you went about the panel line staining. I've got a couple P-61 builds planned that will need similar work. Cheers, Terry (Certifiable P-61 NUT!!) Terry Thank you. All of the panel line staining was done with a thin (50-60% lacquer thinner) mix of ANA 613 that was faded with 10-15% white. All of the dark paint on the model was airbrushed. The surfaces on the rudders were painted using stencils. The stencils were made by enlarging the photo of 313 to the same size of the model and printed out. The stencils were cut from this print using an Xacto knife. Dave

David Rapasi
Great job on the Widow. What are your thoughts on the kit? Overall I was happy with the kit until I tried to install the cockpit glass. After the modification to the fuselage to fit the glass it looked better, ( link) but when compared to the real aircraft it still doesn’t look right. Installation of the wings was a bit of a problem due to the lack of mounting tabs. Dave
FlyAndFight
Hi Dave, Thanks for the info and great link. I see now that the kit was definitely not a "shake & bake", Tamiya type of build. But it's definitely a step up from the old Monogram kit. You've done an excellent job modifying the kit for a better fit. It came out fantastic.

cyclopsactual
That weathering job is absolutely beautiful and dead-on for a bird in the Southwest Pacific. Great work!!!! Regards, Ian
