This is a sidelined build of mine that I decided to pull out, dust off and resume with the goal of having it done in time for Decembers local IPMS

Chapter meet theme of "Small Nations-any non US/UK/Commonwealth/German/Japan/Italy build subject". I will not be building it straight OOB as I found a few photos of Tirans in the Sinai during the Yom Kippur War of Oct 1973.

Lots done in the past two days so without further ado...

First off I went to AMPS chapter meeting on Saturday and brought this for my show & tell work in progress item. I was questioned and encouraged by a few members (Jim, John & Joe) about adding the fuel tank plumbing so yesterday I broke down and added that with some copper wire.

today I primed it with Tamiya Surface Primer

then yesterday and today I fixed the gaps in the upper track runs

005-121.jpg

yesterday I made the brackets that hold the spare track shoes on the turret with some strip styrene

and yesterday after musing over the kits ammo can for the turret top .30 Cal. I decided that I did not care for that one so I used an Academy WWII .30 Cal ammo can out of my spares bin a scratchbuilt a new cradle mount around it. Basic work done yesterday

and completed today

next up are decals and weathering. I also need to apply a final painting of Tamiya Clear Green over the various periscopes, sights, etc. But I have to wait for the base enamel color to dry a bit more first.
