RiderFan
Hi there. Chrome keeps kicking up a malware warning on the main ARC page. http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt75/davidwinter/ARC-warning.jpg Is it just me? [edit] photo bucket seems hosed today, I have the screen grab of the issue if anyone needs it. thanks David Edited December 13, 2012 by RiderFan
mingwin
i use chrome also, and also got that warning today... it says "www.hobbybuy.com is a known malware distributor..."
RiderFan
Yeah, there's a hobby buy ad on the left hand side of the main page. The actual hobby buy page is just about unreachable via chrome as even though you have the option to proceed, it just blocks you at your next attempt.
GreyGhost
Chrome user here too and I got the message as well ... I thought it might have been the photo hosting site the ARC Member used but you folks are probably right .... -Gregg
sanmigmike
I got it too... So just didn't go to the main page. On another forum people were saying some anti-virus programs were also issuing a warning.
bikerider
me too.
HistnScale
Just hit the main page with no warning messsages from the latest Norton or IE8. Dave
GreyGhost
Yup, the main page says it's due to Hobbybuydotcom and in a thread in the display cabinet, it warns about a site named xhlhockeydotde ... I just checked on Opera and no such warnings come up with that browser ... -Gregg
Doughboy
Are they going to fix this or am I relegated to the forums only?
GreyGhost
Are they going to fix this or am I relegated to the forums only? If you click "Advanced" and then choose the "Proceed at your own risk" option, the Main Page comes up ... HTH ... -Gregg
Brad-M
Hi, Has the owner of the site declared that this Malware message is bogus, or are we at risk, or is it just an alert regarding that specific site may be dangerous ? Brad
TheFlyingDutchman
Haven't had it for a week but the warning popped up again today.
RiderFan
Yep.. it's showing up again because HobbyBuy is back on the ad rotation.
Eri
Got the same message. On Chrome too. had to go to history and find a page i visited on the forum
ChippyWho
Yep, it's back. Sorry to be a pain, but it would be excellent if ARC nailed this issue for good.
GEH737
I've been getting the "Malware" warning when I try to log on through Google Chrome for the past two days. I.E. lets me through without the warning - something's going on... Hitch
