Jan
My latest fun project: 1/48 Aero L-15 aka F-15Cz, latest aircraft in Czech AF inventory I essentially wanted to add some Flanker-esque flavour to good old F-15. Revell 1/48 F-15E was used as a basis:
Jan
The F-15Cz camo: I used Photoshop to test whether CzAF Mi-24 camo looks good on Eagle....what do you think? ...I am starting with camo tomorrow. What-if project is a good opportunity to test my new Sotar 20/20 in action

Jan
Hi, I am notoriously slow builder, so after nine months I finally have new pictures to share. Camouflage +some basic weathering with oil colours, plus decals: modification of fuselage (to add flanker-esque feel) nicely shows here: cockpit (not finished): No what-if project is complete without noseart and some kill markings! The name of the pilot is my own name.... and Sandruska is name of my fiancee Hope you enjoy my fun project! :cheers:/> Edited November 25, 2013 by Jan
Wolfgun33
Great work on the camo and decals! It really turned out nice!

Jan
Thanks everybody for kind comments! I hope the airplane will be very impressive after I add all the missiles, bombs and external fuel tanks. - I did add wingtip missile lanchers and two extra hardpoint under the wings Need to find some very (=big :)/>) impressive and unusual weapons in my spare parts box! -any tips? Hmmm...where did I put my Raytheon Mail Order Catalog? Maybe go with something SLAM, JSOW or even ASAT if you want to go large (and What-If!). Or a nice juicy GBU-24 -"...do you feel lucky?" ASAT:) I think there might be GBU-24s in Kinetic F-16F kit, right? and I also have two nice AGM-142s that come with Academy F-15I kit... may be I could use chinese, israeli or russian missiles as well... imatt88
Way cool!! Love the camo and the decals. Great job
Yso
I don't really go into what-if things, but this camo and decalling looks great.
Jan
After long delay, I managed to add some more weathering, undercarriage and weapons. I did thry to make my Eagle/Flanker look worn-out and busy (Pythons on wingtips, this was obvious choice- they look so different from your typical missile): What do you think? Shall the Czech AF go for this F-15 version? :monkeydance:/>/>/>/> Edited June 17, 2014 by Jan
Joel_W
Oh my!! What a great "What If Build". It sure does look realistic. Outstanding paint, camo, decaling, and weathering. I really like how you used masks for the camo paint scheme, yet there is a nicely feathered edge. I've always had issues with masks, so I still free hand. But looking at your masking, it's given me a few new ideas to try. Joel

You control the feathered edge by rolling 'fat' or 'thin' snakes. Here are two more pictures of my Eagle family (F-15Cz is part of my private eagle group build: Israel, Saudi Arabia, Cz): B)/> Edited June 19, 2014 by Jan
