1/12 Alain Prost Figure from Oso Models

Alain Prost, the way he looked when he won the 1990 FRA GP at Circuit Paul Ricard, securing the 100th GP Victory for Ferrari, on my 18 year birthday - 08 July 1990.

Figure is a El Oso models resin kit and the decals are from MSM. All bought from bestbalsakits.be.

The figure kit is a 7 part limited run resin kit. Quite a few bubbles and shrinkage, typical of resin castings. The decals are good, but I had to cut the curved "Marlboro" decals for the helmet since the decals curvature didn't match the kit helmet. I cut the red lines with 2 blades pressed together in a circumference cutter, from a red decal sheet.

There were no visor in the kit so I had to make one. I created a visor plug from hardwood and heat-shrinked plastic over the plug.

Now I just need to build the Tamiya 1/12 F190 641 to go with the figure..! ;-)
