RedHeadKevin
So I'm building an F-22, and my current plan is to do a mixed A/A and A/G loadout of 2 AIM-9's, 3 AIM-120's in one bay, and an AIM-120 and a pack of 4 GBU-39 SDB's in the other bay. With this kind of loadout, would the SDB's always be loaded into one bay or the other, or does it matter? Does the rack attach to one of the AMRAAM trapezes? Which one? It's tough to find many operational loadouts for the Raptor, seeing as how they don't really fly anywhere, but I've still got a nice model on the way.
Finn
Going by the below pic, it goes in the bay :D/>/> : http://www.ausairpower.net/GBU/Raytheon-GBU-53B-SDB-II-F-22A-1.jpg as you can see not much room in there once it's full of things. edit: this pic shows 4 AMRAAM trapezes and a rack for an A/G store which is where the SDB would go: http://www.f-16.net/attachments/f_22_weapons_bay_596.jpg Jari Edited December 19, 2012 by Finn
Deke
With this kind of loadout, would the SDB's always be loaded into one bay or the other, or does it matter? Does the rack attach to one of the AMRAAM trapezes? It can go in either weapons bay, but it is mounted on the inboard station with the AMRAAM on the outboard station. The BRU-61 rack is not attached to an AVEL, it is attached to the same BRU-46 that the JDAM uses. Deke
