f4h1phantom
Check here for the full range: http://www.airfix.com/airfix-products/new-for-2013/ New tool Harrier GR.1 and GR.3, Lightning F.2A and Vampire T.11 in 1/72, and a Javelin in 1/48 (didn't see that one coming). Looks like a good year is ahead, in spite of the mayans. Jorge. Edited December 19, 2012 by f4h1phantom
Ryan Hothersall
Have they given up on the MiG-29 as I did not see it listed.
niki4703
Have they given up on the MiG-29 as I did not see it listed. I've been wondering this myself for some time now. Also a re-release of the Tucano was announced - did that materialize, perhaps?

Was the Tucano not the Jubillee version? Made in limited numbers and came and went Shane

Ryan, the MiG-29 is listed in the Airfix page, only it was not included as a 2013 release: http://www.airfix.com/airfix-products/aircraft/military-aircraft-1951present/a04037-mig-29-fulcrum-a04037/?searchguid=2012121918238&resultspage=&sortorder= BTW, those Lancasters are new-tools. Totally unexpected! Jorge. Edited December 19, 2012 by f4h1phantom
Berkut
MiG-29 is the old tool from 80's. It is not very good.
Daryl J.
To say the list is a pleasant surprise is an understatement.
Richard M
Have they given up on the MiG-29 as I did not see it listed. No, the -29 and Tucano didn't make it out for 2012, should be out in 2013 - hopefully around the end of March.
Andre
BTW, those Lancasters are new-tools. Totally unexpected! Especially since the recent RoG kits. Let's hope there's a Tallboy or Grand Slam in there. Cheers, Andre

I'm looking forward to a piece of each. With the sheet from Combat Decals, a couple of Tucanos would be more appropriate but let's not get too greedy...
RiderFan
A new tool TSR.2?? That's in interesting choice. I would have thought they'd just continue to milk the existing tool. (also, someone on this thread is referencing britmodeller(dot)com and causing issues with Chrome.
Jay Chladek
A new tool TSR.2?? That's in interesting choice. I would have thought they'd just continue to milk the existing tool. (also, someone on this thread is referencing britmodeller(dot)com and causing issues with Chrome. According to the other thread in the General Discussion section, it is essentially the old tool with a new Stratos 4 missile (different from what they offered in the previous Stratos 4 kit) and decals. The core kit apparently is going to remain the same with the 2005-06 vintage TSR-2 molds. I was wondering myself though given that Airfix decided to on their own take their all new tool Hawk T-1 and replace it with an even newer tool kit that corrected some of the original faults. But, the Hawk is a much smaller jet than the TSR-2 in 1/72 and considering how many Red Arrows kits they issue every year, I imagine they didn't take much of a financial hit in the retooling costs. A TSR-2 on the otherhand, that is a bigger investment with potentially not as many buyers (even though a lot of TSR-2s got snatched up in the previous issues).

HTH, Jorge. :cheers:/>/> The 1000 kit issue of the Tucano was a Limited Edition just for members of the Airfix Club, which was released in 2012 and sold out.
