Check here for the full range:

New tool Harrier GR.1 and GR.3, Lightning F.2A and Vampire T.11 in 1/72, and a Javelin in 1/48 (didn't see that one coming).

Looks like a good year is ahead, in spite of the mayans.

I've been wondering this myself for some time now. Also a re-release of the Tucano was announced - did that materialize, perhaps?

Was the Tucano not the Jubillee version? Made in limited numbers and came and went

Have they given up on the MiG-29 as I did not see it listed.

Ryan,

the MiG-29 is listed in the Airfix page, only it was not included as a 2013 release:

BTW, those Lancasters are new-tools. Totally unexpected!

Jorge.

A new tool TSR.2?? That's in interesting choice. I would have thought they'd just continue to milk the existing tool.

(also, someone on this thread is referencing britmodeller(dot)com and causing issues with Chrome.

According to the other thread in the General Discussion section, it is essentially the old tool with a new Stratos 4 missile (different from what they offered in the previous Stratos 4 kit) and decals. The core kit apparently is going to remain the same with the 2005-06 vintage TSR-2 molds. I was wondering myself though given that Airfix decided to on their own take their all new tool Hawk T-1 and replace it with an even newer tool kit that corrected some of the original faults. But, the Hawk is a much smaller jet than the TSR-2 in 1/72 and considering how many Red Arrows kits they issue every year, I imagine they didn't take much of a financial hit in the retooling costs. A TSR-2 on the otherhand, that is a bigger investment with potentially not as many buyers (even though a lot of TSR-2s got snatched up in the previous issues).

Oh, thank you for that! I'm looking forward to a piece of each.

With the sheet from Combat Decals, a couple of Tucanos would be more appropriate but let's not get too greedy...

Hi Niki,

you better hurry to get the Tucano. It was mentioned that only a 1.000 would be produced.

HTH,

Jorge.

The 1000 kit issue of the Tucano was a Limited Edition just for members of the Airfix Club, which was released in 2012 and sold out. There was a general release of the Tucano kit planned for 2012 which didn't make it in time.

Now, if they'll just do that Javelin and the Sea Vixen in 1/72 NEXT YEAR! :pray:/>/> (Along with an F.1 and F.6 Lightnings and standard Hurricane Mk.1)

What he said!

(With the addition of the T.4/5 flavor of Lightning, of course.)

Cheers,

Andre

Oh, yes! How about a whole line of 72nd scale EE Lightnings in a couple of years or so!? :woo:/>

New Airfix seems to plan ahead with regards to getting most out of their molds with regard to planning for more versions. A good thing!

P.S.: you guys better stop playing with my emotions on that Tucano issue... :D/>

Well, there's always the Pioneer kit as an alternative.

...

I'm sorry, that was just cruel. :)

Cheers,

Andre
