Kingoalie Posted January 9, 2013 Share Posted January 9, 2013 Hi Everyone, Here's my first completed model of 2013. This is the Platz P-51D with Bestfong decals for a ROCAF P-51D. I started this kit almost a year ago but due to some paint issues I shelved it. After I bought the Bestfong decals, I decided to strip the kit and start over. The seat harness is made from masking tape and I used Talon acrlyics for the NMF. If you build this kit, the canopy is just a little bit wider than the fuselage. I think on the next one I build, I will vac a new canopy and pose it in the open position. John Quote Link to post Share on other sites

This kit almost went back on the shelve for a long time due to some self-inflicted issues, such as a huge gash on the right side...but I stuck with it and I'm glad it's done.
