john53
Here's the start to my second entry. It's the Hobbycraft 1/144 RB-47H built OOB using kit decals. Both planes are NMF and from the same unit, 55 SRW in 1967. The only difference I see is the serial numbers and one has a note that the forward nose lower bulge is unpainted fiberglass(?). Guess I will flip a coin to see which number I use or use the "colorful" one with the unpainted fiberglass?---John
john53
Got a start on the Stratojet. I painted and assembled the cockpit. There's not much to see so I didn't go overboard. I painted the interior chromate green, I made this from using Testors little square bottle of chromate yellow mixed with 50% flat black. I think it looks more toned down and not as bright as some other interior greens. The seats are dark green and control yokes and side consoles flat black.---John

john53
I just put the wings together. I can find no pictures of the RB-47H with wing tanks so I didn't open the holes for them.---John Edited January 26, 2013 by john53
bdt13
Nice cockpit for 1/144! I'll be watching, as I have this one in the stash and I want to see how it works out.
john53
I have the wings assembled and cut the wing tips off to add the recon wingtips. They need some sanding then I can add the wings to the fuselage.---John
