Bob Waltman
Good evening all. This is my first post on ARC so I thought I'd start with my 1/48th scale AC-130U I'm building. The aircraft is 89-0511 "Predator" It was the first production AC-130U. This first posting (Part 1) is on the exterior and all of the modifications I need to make to correct the kit as well as open any panels I wish to add detail to. Part 2 will be on the start of the interior (Gun Deck). Subsequent postings will cover the gun details, flaps, cockpit, wings, etc. Thanks for looking and I look forward to your comments/questions. Cheers, Bob Waltman

ReccePhreak
Welcome to ARC Bob! I will echo what others have said, it would be nicer with larger pics (even though I can see your project at the club meetings). Larry Engesath
jmel
Very interesting project, but the text is too small to read and the pictures are too small to show how much extra work you've put in. Jake

jynski
So Bob, is it going to be even better than the "H" model you built many moons ago? You know I'll be watching this build. Remember the old one being on a round table top. Joe Gantt
Youngtiger1
Wow Bob, totally cool subject choice, but come on dude...you got to give us larger pics. Those tiny things don't cut it when you are tackling the big Herk. :rolleyes:/> Mike
Jinxter13
Let me add my to these forums Mr. Waltman. This In-Prog build has definitely caught my eye and will hold a piece of my attention for many reasons. Edited January 23, 2013 by #1 Greywolf

Remember the old one being on a round table top. Joe Gantt Hey Joe, good to hear from you. Yes, I think this one will surpass the "H" model. Lot's of more detail! I've had to scratch-build 95% of the interior which I'll be posting pics of in the upcoming days. Cheers!
neu
It's gonna be an exciting build as far as I see! Good luck and welcome aboard!
Bob Waltman
Hello all. Since I started this project a while ago and I am currently over half way done with the 'ol girl I can make regular post for a while. This latest post is on my initial start of the interior (plus one more exterior shot). There is still a lot of wiring, piping and hoses that have to be attached to various areas of the fuselage interior but this is what I have so far. BTW, I hope the pics are better than last time :D/> Thanks for looking. Cheers! Bob Waltman

Bob Waltman
Good morning everyone, This post is the start of the 40MM. The kit only comes with the barrel and flash hider which is attached like the 105MM, to the gun port pressure seal. From start to completion, a 100% scratch-built 1/48th scale L60 Bofors 40MM Cannon! As always, thanks for looking. Cheers! Bob Waltman

Bob Waltman
Bob..what book is this? It's pages from the "book" I'm doing showing the build. I'm doing this so when I display the model, folks can see the construction process. BW
