hawkwrench
Wow, I feel like a stranger in a strange land. I normally hang in the helicopter forum cause I'm a helo guy, but I am making a 1/35 scale dio of a FARP ( Forward Arming and Refueling Point) and a UH-60 refueling like this: What's the best way to make sandbags since I'm gonna be making a lot of them? HeavyArty
The best way is to use some A&B putty, two-part putty that you mix together to about the consistency of modleing clay. Mix them together and form into a basic sandbag shape. Score one end to look like the closed fill end. Likghtly press and old t-shirt onto the bag to give it some texture. Place them where you want them to be and mold them together so they sit correctly. Allow to cure for a few hours and paint. They come out looking really nice and realistic. Good luck. Ro-Gar Hobbies
See the attached below. Basically what HeavyArty said, but in more detail. When I do my sand bags I use millput, but any two part epoxy (solid type) will work.
