Big Kohona
Thanks Pip, appreciate the reply. I've been told that during the War, several USN a/c shared the same main wheels, hence the question as I thought about replacing some less detailed wheels with a set from Aires (1/72). Joe Hegedus
Someone (Aires maybe?) did a replacement landing gear set for the Hasegawa Avengers in 1/72 back in the late 90's/early2000's. Alternately, I think I saw somewhere that the Tigercat main gear wheels/tires were the same as an Avenger's, but I may be mistaken on that.

I'm pretty sure that Corsairs and Hellcats used the same wheels. It would make sense that the much heavier Avenger needed beefier gear. Pip
David Rapasi
The Hasegawa F6F has 24†wheels and 32†tires. The Accurate Miniatures TBF has 24†wheels and 33†tires. Dave
Tailspin Turtle
For what it's worth, the F6F-3 SAC indicates that it has a 32x8" tire and the TBM-3 SAC, a 34x9" tire. The hubs look similar.
