Cop
I'm currently building Zvedva's MI-24a Hind and planned to do it as a Soviet bird circa 1979 when it was attached to the Moscow Military Brigade. The colour call out on the instructions recommend model master 1712 Field Green and 1713 Medium Green. I used these colours but they just merge into one, as the colours are so similar. Which doesn't seem right compared to photos. Can anybody help an idiot? Nige.
tiger331
Try to look at the pcitures and match the coulours. Or buy AKAN 47303 Russian helicopters six-pack combo (73047+73048+73049+73003+73009+79042), ie. on Lindel Hill imports...
Cop
Cheers Tiger, I did a search of the web last night and tried to match the colours with the paints I have. But to no avail, so it looks like I'm mixing my own colours up. Nige.
Jeff_C
When I built the old Monogram Hind, I used Dark Tan (FS30219) as the base color with the Field Green for the pattern. The underside was one of the Ghost Gray's IIRC. Color wise, it was as close as I could get due to limited supplies available at the time.
