Bought a couple of difficult to find items and paid for them Tuesday 02-05-2013 Sat 02-09-2013 I decided to call to see what was up they took my number and said they would call me back. That was noon my time. 7:00 PM They call me back asking if I got the email they sent me on Wednesday 02-06-2013. No such letter. Anyway this "letter" was telling me that EVERY item I had ordered was OUT OF STOCK and one was Indefinitely unavailable and that the wait was going to be about a month for restock. Of course I was perturbed and canceled the sale. Maybe I need to save the money...

If you see something online call them and ask if it is in stock... What bothered was they tried to put it back on me with the magically disappearing email....Bad form.

Yeah that kinda sucks. I have been to there, it's a very cool place to check out and TONS of stuff but some of the smaller items would be hard to find if it was an aftermarket one-off item. I spent hours in there and still didn't look through it all, I can imagine trying to find the proverbial needle in a haystack. The downside of mail order I guess, but glad it all worked out in the end though.

In other words.....stick with what you are good at.

Brookhurst Hobbies is one of the most amazing hobby shops I have ever stepped foot in. It is literally like the Neiman Marcus of hobby shops.

I've had similar experiences with their online site. My in laws live pretty close to the shop and I have looked at the site to see if they have something and sent the sister in law over to grab a "shipment" before her visit up to Seattle....almost every time she goes with my list of stuff gathered from the website, nothing is in stock.

They should just stick to being an amazing brick and mortar hobby shop and leave the online shopping experience to Sprue Brothers.
