Bigasshammm
I like the new scheme. Looks way better than those other two outdated liveries.
Phatsamurai
I forgot, My uncle works for american at DFW he sent me the pic. I like the new one as well as the vintage theme in the middle. I want decals for that

bzn20
The 1960's 737 looks ace!Great picture. And I've changed my mind about the nooo colors...I dont like it.Fine under bright hangar lights, out on the apron in daylight,no. carioca
The Retro is way too cool, the last one is very nice. The new one is just ok - not as beautiful as the 60's scheme, just fine... Still guessing it's just a matter of getting used to it. Let's see what comes out of this merger with USAir.
kg4kpg
I think the new scheme would look better if the stripes didn't come down on the side of the fuselage. Maybe if it went all the way under, but not stopping. I like the 60's scheme too.
Jennings
The retro 737-800 scheme decals were available years ago. I forget the guy's name, but I did a run of them, printed by Cartograf, that he had available. No, I don't have any more to sell :) PS: The new scheme is still hideous .... :P Edited February 15, 2013 by Jennings

Nice guy, but an odd duck (we all are in this hobby). Lives in the valley out in Cali now I think. He had the online shop modelairliners.com I think as well. PS: The new Coke...er I mean Cubana... er nevermind... I'll get banned for my opinion of 'Merican. PPS: I noticed Pravda in the roadway taking video of the lineup. TheFlyingDutchman
I have some decals from Minicraft's American Retro 757 that might be a usable start to do that retro 737, but you still have to make your own tail logo and registration numbers. Only the American Airlines title and orange stripes might fit the 737 after some adaptions. Whoever wants them can have them for shipping costs ;)
757flyer
His name is Joe Farrell. Not sure if he sold all of his sheets when he shut down his shop or not. I know he has posted recently on one of the Airliner groups and mentioned that he still had a small amount of inventory that he had been holding onto for himself... skidbuggy
Continuing to stir-the-pot on the horrid colour scheme at 'MerIcan.... http://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/american-and-us-airways-livery-to-be-decided-382391/
Jennings
I have some decals from Minicraft's American Retro 757 that might be a usable start to do that retro 737 No. Totally different paint schemes. The 757 was done in the ca. 1958 707 scheme. The 737 retrojet was in the late 1960s Astrojet scheme. Nothing common between the two. robert61267
The retro 737 decals were from modelairliners.com. I still miss that site, and I'm glad I snagged mine when I did. They pop up from time to time on the Bay of Evil. Jennings, I'm with you. The new scheme is horrid. I love the classic retro scheme and the current scheme. Both are classy. The new scheme looks like a grade schooler came up with it.
angry_android
Continuing to stir-the-pot on the horrid colour scheme at 'MerIcan.... http://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/american-and-us-airways-livery-to-be-decided-382391/ Going forward as we galvanize the base to leverage our assets as innovative solutions to add value to the brand image. I sure love corporate buzzword-laden newspeak! Double-plus goodword make! And the new livery still has about as much stylistic merit as a Nickelback record. Ick, ick, ick. That 737 belongs in a trailer park, surrounded by pink flamingos, garden gnomes, and cans of Bud light. Actually, since it's pretty close to a short-lived livery Amwreck had on their P32s, I think it's perfectly sensible to call it the 'Pepsi Can.' Litvyak
The one in the middle is the nicest, and the one on the left has a comfortable familiarity to it, timeless, somehow. The new one... well, like others have mentioned, it really does remind of Amcrash...

Ben Brown
Now that looks pretty spiffy! It's the best-looking scheme USAirways has had since the '90s with the high & low tide markings on the tail. The new American livery is yet another example of how stylists confuse "ugly" or with "edgy." It's also another one of those, "Well, it looked good in 2-D on the computer screen." Fly-n-hi
Looks good Jennings but I'd change the font. The "American" looks to blocky (it looks like the same font as the current American). To me it doesn't really match the scheme for some reason.

waltmert
You could even put the US in front of American and it will look good! But I do like the new American paint job! ;0 Walter
Ishthe47guy
Anybody else noticed the film crew at the bottom center of the photo? Even if its a staged picture, its still a good picture. Makes me miss being back home in Dallas that much more.
Vidar 710
Oh HELL no!
Litvyak
I agree with Vidar. I like the fuselage part, but I'd replace that boring/ugly USAirways interpretation of the flag with an AA thing or a stylised eagle of some sort.
Ben Brown
Slight thread-jack, does anyone make decals for that USAirways 757 scheme? Ben EDIT: No, wait! I do NOT need to build another Welsh 757! Edited February 23, 2013 by Ben Brown
