Loach Driver
Here are a few photos of the new Armed Bell 407 Scout Helicopter. http://iraqimilitary.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=225&start=45 More here on Flickr. Maybe if Revell don't release the MD520N, they could take a hard look at releasing this helicopter in model form instead. A converted OH-58D kit would be one for the experts only. LD. HeavyArty
That looks really cool. I have been thinking about either a Bell 207 or 407 Long Ranger from the Academy Kiowa kit for a while. This may be just the reason to take it on.

HeavyArty
It looks like the weapons plank is the same one as in the AH-6J as well. Hmm, I have an extra plank too. I see a plan forming...(in devious voice.) :naughty:
GeejeeZ
A Bell 407- kit would definitely be a good idea and it would be a best of both worlds: a kit for the military modellers to drown in od matt finish but just as good for the civil guys to turn into a shiny civil machine! I have been hoping for a kit of the -407 since the US army was thinking of buying them as OH58D- replacement. Iirc the US military decided to go for something else? If I get the info on the link right, these ones are for the Iraqi army? Edited February 19, 2013 by GeejeeZ
hooknladderno1
I too would be very excited to see a 407 kit! The Delaware State Police have been flying them for several years since they were introduced. Like Gino, I had considered attempting a conversion of the Academy kit, but think for now, it is a little beyond my skills. I would look forward to following such a conversion if anyone does decide to do one. You know, it just might hasten the release of a 407 kit! You know how once you complete a major conersion, they release it in kit form? :bandhead2:/> David
