Markings are for two RAuxAF Squadrons, 603 in HSS and 607 as a racer in the classic DFS with red bands. I'll be doing the more unusual for a Spitfire HSS scheme, as it was an operational aircraft rather than a special scheme and because I dig the pre-war style squadron band markings.

It's definitely a nice little kit. Usual thick sprue gates problem for the new Airfix kits but otherwise it's rather nice in engineering. And they managed to attach the control stick in a fashion that won't cause problems getting it off the sprue (unlike the new P-51D).

I started with the wing, going to paint the underside before assembly so I can mask off the formation lights.

All markings on, just needed to finish the prop and shoot the dullcote.
