Snowbird3a
Finally got this off the workbench. A ton of setbacks happened on this build, at the reference phase, at the decal printing phase, right into the home vacuforming and home resin casting phases. It's a Matchbox kit from the WIP thread, including the speedbrake wells from the Heller kit. The Heller kit also provided the landing gear, canopy, and cockpit tub. Aeroclub seat is used. Nose wheel is a home cast copy of the Airfix P80 wheel. Slats are a home copy of the Cutting Edge versions. Vee shaped windshield is a home vacuformed bit of magic. The squadron flash is from the ESCI F86 sheet, suitably changed with a squadron crest from the 'net and placed using PaintShop Pro. Printed on Testors decal paper. Most of the other markings are from the Microscale 72-386 sheet. Paint is MM Aluminum Plate with areas masked and then Humbrol Metalcote in places. Gun panel is MM Jet Exhaust.
