RCarlson
Were the intakes on the MiG-25 white? I have a set of Click2detail intakes for my ICM kit, but can not find a photo of the actual intakes to determine the color. Thanks
boom175
Sand is optional....
RCarlson
Thanks. It's hard to tell from the photo, but I assume it's bare metal. Or sandblasted!
ya-gabor
It is plain, unpainted metal (what ever it is they made the intake inside from). Same as most other Russian jets of the time. On the MiG-21's it was unpainted aluminium but nothing shiny, it had a lot of dirt from the air deposited on it making it a fairly dirty looking metal. It is the same with the Foxbats that I have seen in Moscow, it is a base metal (only this time not aluminium), but fairly dirty all over(and this is not from the dust deposited in the past decades of standing there, as on the photo above). RCarlson
Thanks Gabor! That's what I thought, but wasn't 100% sure.
Flankerman
Don't forget to add that TTT bar in the middle - it's part of the water injection system IIRC. Or - was it a flow straightener...... No..... water squirter I'm almos sure. <_< Ken
RCarlson
Thanks Ken. I was playing around with making them with some scrap photo etch pieces I had lying around.
