janman
This car won the 1978 1000 Lakes Rally in Finland in the hands of Markku Alen. The kit is an old Esci mold and is a reasonably accurate depiction of the real car, which altogether won 18 WRC rallies, 7 of them by Markku Alen. For a gravel rally the kit had a wrong set of wheels and too wide wheel arch extensions. The extensions were modified and the wheels come from a rarish Fujimi 131 Abarth Rally, which also donored part of the decals for this model (namely all the 1978 1000 Lakes markings). A PE set from Reneissance models was used for certain details.
