Thunderchief105
I have been working on this little project for the past week. These new-tool 1/72 Airfix Spitfires go together quite well and the seam clean up wasn't a big chore. Hopefully I'll be spraying paint on her by this weekend.
Andre
Looking good! Yeah, these are nice little kits, great value. The instrument panel is the Airfix decal, I gather? How'd it fit? Cheers, Andre
Thunderchief105
As long as you cut out a little space at the top for the gun sight there's no problems, it laid down on the part quite well.
madmike
Looking good so far. Just finished the Mk.22 and was very impressed with the quality and buildability of the new Airfix Spitfire range. Looking forward to seeing more progress.
Thunderchief105
Airfix has really step up their game with the 1/72 Spitfire kits, I hoping the rest of the new stuff coming out is just as good. I saw the Vampire kit at the LHS last week, I should have grabbed it up now I'm kicking myself for not doing so.
Thunderchief105
Started putting down some paint yesterday and I am pretty much happy the way the black and white underside turned out. Just need to touch up a spot or two then I'll start putting down some dark earth up top.
