zipper
Hi all, Sorry if its been asked a thousand times before but couldn't find info from a search (computer playing up) is it possible to make an F-15D from the Tamiya 1/32 F-15E kit? Cheers, Ashley
zipper
Just found my answer looking at some instructions online, looks as though the CFT are moulded as one so that'll be a no then. Thanks for looking
habu2
D-models (and C-models) can carry CFTs but it's still not that simple to make a D from the Tamiya E.
31Tiger
You could make a D from the units that flew in Alaska(AK) and Iceland (IS) in the 80's early 90's. They flew regulary with CFT . Or you could built a Israeli D , the last ones delivered were actually E airframes. But still there would be a lot of work to do.. cockpit, wheels, ... lots of work
geedubelyer
Hi Ashley, You might get closer to where you need to be by combining the Tamiya "-E" forward fuselage with their "-C" rear fuselage. You'll need to scratch build a rear cockpit and use the "-C" front cockpit but at least the main fuselage would look ok plus you'd have the flush maingear doors etc. If you have a look >> here << you'll see that johncrow is building something similar in the "Yes, size does matter" group build.
