VFC-12 F/A-18C Hornets

Recommended Posts

I'm in the process of planning to build a VFC-12 aggressor Hornet, but need a little help from the Hornet experts.

The FighterTown sheet has markings for-

00 -164663

03 -164632

07 -164647

I'm going to build one of these in the Flanker scheme, but need to know what airframe blocks these are and what airframe mods are needed-

Vent types?,Seat type?,C/F buckets(they appear to have only the single box fitted?), Lumps and bumps?

Cheers

Shaun.

NACES seats

blade antennas on the nose of 06/07. Not on 00/03.

Mesh gun vents

fishbone/ slanted LEX vents

Antenna arrangement as shown in profiles - slanted blade upper/lower, GPS

Single chaff/flare buckets

No 'L' braces inside tails

No vertical tail long brace infront of formation lights.

hope that helps.

Got tons of walkarounds. I'll see if I have anything uploaded in Photobucket.

Thanks Brian.

So if using the 1/48th Hasegawa kit you need to fill the L brackets on the inside of the tails and remove the F/A-18 A/B fairings ahead of the U/C bay and use the single C/F bucket in the kit.

And add a GPS dot on the spine.

Among the other things listed, yes.

Can't wait to see some pictures in progress posted.
