MiG-19 PM Farmer E

Recommended Posts

There The Farmer is finally done!

I must say that it was a pretty challenging build with that resin nose and a metal finish on top of that! I´m happy with the result and I think I got that oxidized

aluminium look down realy nice. Of course it´s not perfect and I highly doubt I´d win awards with it but none the less I´m pleased to have learnt new ways of

weathering metal finishes.I put down some heavy flat coats and as I fingered the kit I noticed how I rubbed off some of the flat coat with my fingers. At first I

thought this was aggravating but after a little reconsideration I decided this was actually good since I can make the surface more alive with having patches that are

worn smooth where it has been handeled by say ground crew and that I could make patches with heavy flat coat where the surface could have been bettered.

Other weathering was done with more traditional means of artis oil washes :D

Hopa ya like my little MiG..be prepared for lots of pics as usual :D
