New Russian T-80U 1:35 kit from XACTSCALE MODELS.

We are pleased to announce that Pacific Coast Models, Inc. of Santa Rosa, California has been appointed as an Importer/Distributor for the new line of XACTSCALE 1:35 armor kits for the U.S. and Canada.

XACTSCALE MODELS is a new company which is determined to bring new and exciting armor kits to the modeling community. Their experience as modelers and as businessmen, along with a group of experienced modelers and designers, will bring accurate and high quality new kits to all of us.

Their first new kit is a 1:35 Russian T-80U Main Battle Tank (XS 35001). It was the main heavy tank in the Russian arsenal in the 1980's and 1990's. It remains in service with the Russian tank force with the latest upgrades. Several thousand have been placed in storage for use if necessary. It has been sold to countries all over the world including Belarus, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, Algeria, Pakistan, South Korea and the Ukraine. It is still produced in the Ukraine.

This kit comprises over 400 pieces including a one piece gun barrel. one piece tracks, an NSVT 12.7mm AA machine gun and highly detailed road wheels. It also includes a PE set. The retail price is $69.90.

This is an exciting first kit which will bring alot of attention from modelers and hobby shops to the new XACTSCALE line. It is now available for pre-orders with an ETA of late May.

I saw the sprues at the AMPS Convention last weekend -- they were very impressive. Nicely detailed, and what looks like a logical assembly without too many fiddly bits. I'm looking forward to building this kit. Oh, yes, the barrel is one piece.
