Floggerman
Got my kit today. First impression: the panel lines are very heavy, this is not an improvement compared to the Tu-2. Also the rib structure on fabric covered parts are (again) exaggerated. An then: An incredible number of tiny parts (most for the interior), the instruction is good, but hard to get the overview as all three versions are in one box. I like the cross sections of assembled sub-units, it's very helpful. Decals and clear parts looking good so far. Will wait with the build, at least on Montex or Eduard for some masks. Nevertheless I'm happy that we now have this important plane in 48 scale!
vimana
Well, my Xuntong IL-4 is on its way. It's going to take a while to get here, but it's the most interesting new WW2 bomber I've seen in a while, so I decided I had to have one. I'm glad someone is willing to invest in the big molds needed to produce unusual subjects like this, and if they don't fall together effortlessly like Tamigawas, I can live with that. I'll see how I like this IL-4; if I'm impreseed, maybe I'll buy the Tu-2 next.
