Jonny2174
Hello guys, For the past few years I've been only building airplane models, but now I want to start building armor too. I like the M1 Abrams tank, did a little bit of research, I think Revell has a 1/35 scale one. Tamiya has a good-looking one but it is too expensive ($92?). I think I would prefer 1/35 scale, because in airplane modeling, I like the 1/48 larger airplanes. So...do you guys have any suggestions for which M1 kit to take? Of course I will probably build my first kit out of the box with no mods (I don't even know if you guys do mods, but us airplane guys use plenty of modifications). Thanks! jimz66
Dragon. End of conversation. Their SEP or AIM kits should suffice.
HeavyArty
Dragon. End of conversation. Their SEP or AIM kits should suffice. Suffice?? Their M1A2 SEP and M1A1 AIM kits are the best on the market. They are complete with metal barrels and a couple sheets of PE. They don't really need any other AM to make a really nice kit. And yes, we armor guys do lots of modifications with plenty of PE and AM resin items as well.

Ah here's a thread on it: http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=254720 For what you get w/the Tamiya M1A2 SEP TUSK kit and the price, it still isn't worth it to me. It is still lacking basic details that the Dragon kits have nailed. Dragon's AIM and SEP are still the best on the market to me. If I want a TUSK Abrams, I'll get the Legend TUSK set for one of the Dragon kits.
