toadwbg
Calling it done! I spent some time on the figures both researching and painting. I used mostly Vellejo acrylics for them. These are the first figures besides 1/48 aircraft pilots I've really ever done. Had fun with them and they add a lot to the model. toadwbg
Great work Toad! Guess yer a natural when it comes to figure painting :thumbsup:/>/>/> The weathering looks nice and dirty too... /Jesse Thanks man. I went for a medium level of weathering and it turned out a little lighter than I thought, but I'm happy with it. I used a lighter base color airbrushed in panel middles, oil wash for recesses, a dry-brushing of medium grey, and pastls for the muddy areas. I'm probably going to apply this same level of weathering to my next WW2 German prop build as I like it a lot. I think that will e the Tamiya 1/49 Dornier Do335B-2 PFIEL. The figures are a little on the glossy side, so I will probably knock that down a bit with some flat yet. Here's some more in-depth build notes from my posting at Armorama: http://www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=SquawkBox&file=index&req=viewtopic&topic_id=206099&page=1#1729663 Edited May 12, 2013 by toadwbg
