thegoodsgt
After a long absence from sharing pics of my models, a new light tent has allowed me to (slightly) improve the quality of my photos, so here goes nothing. This is my most recent model, a Hasegawa 1/72 J2M3 Jack. I used about 25 percent of Eduard's photoetch set for the model. Decals are from Techmod and, believe it or not, from the kit itself, despite being probably 30 years old! Gun barrels are from Master. I painted the model with a custom mix of Tamiya. Weathering was done with the airbrush, pastels, oil pin wash, and silver pencil (for the paint chips). (Looking at the pictures I see now that the exhausts are shiny. That ain't right!) Enjoy! Pirata
Very nice. You added some nice detail to the cockpit. I like the subtle weathering & paint chipping. I never understood that red-brown color on the propeller. Were they made of wood or were they just painted that way?
thegoodsgt
Pirata, the propeller blades were metal and painted brown, which I understand was a primer color.
