david sMiGielski
Need the advice of the local Soviet experts. Can I use the delta wing from the early model 1/48 Trumpeter Su-15 to build an Su-11 (based on the Kopro kit)? My quest for the rare and esoteric continues.
Jennings
I believe the wing of the 11 and 15 were identical.
mingwin
if you wanted to use Su-15 wings for a Su-11 you'll have to modify them. as the main gear bays ar all in the wings of the Su-11, and there is a small part of the bays that are in the fuselage on the Su-15. ...i can't remember where exactly i saw it, but somewhere on a french modelling forum, someone address this issue by adding some styrene to extend the wings chord. mingwin
it was about a Su-9 finally... but it should interest you as those two jets share the same wings.. . the article is about kitbashing a su-7 and a su-15... click on the picture to see more... very interesting and instructive!
