dnl42
My current Grumman stash 1/48 Accurate Miniatures F3F-1 Accurate Miniatures Gulfhawk II. AM added resin to their F3F-2 Hobby Boss TBF-1C Tamiya F4F-4 Minicraft XF5F-1 Academy (nee AM) TBM-3. I'll make this into a Fire Bomber using resin from Lone Start Models and markings from Draw Decals Eduard F6F-5 Late AMT F7F-3. I also have resin for this Hobby Boss F8F-1 Trumpeter F9F-3 Hobby Boss F-14A. I'll use the blue-on--blue splinter scheme from the TwoBobs/TwoMikes 2012 IPMS Nationals OPFOR Super Pack Hobby Boss F-14D 1/72 Hasegawa X-29 1/144 Revell of Germany E-2C Dragon X-29 As you can see, I prefer prop aircraft. I will likely add the Kinetics E-2C and EA-6B.

SatelliteChaser
(Sorry if this is the wrong thread for this, but...) Just a heads-up to the grumman group builders, I have an extra set of Verlinden F-14 ejection seats in 1/72 scale if they could be of use to anyone! $4 shipped in the CONUS, Just PM me if interested! I'm also looking for the Eduard photo-etch set for 1/72 Hase tomcat (part # 73234) if anyone has this available, and can do better than the 20-some dollars from retail. Best of luck on your builds, fellas! Edited July 12, 2013 by SatelliteChaser
dnl42
FYI, I happened by Burbank's House of Hobbies and found three 1/48 AMT F7F-2/2N as well as well as one 1/72 Sword F8F Foreign Bearcat. They also had the in-production 1/48 Revell A-6E, EA-6A, EA-6B, F-14A, and TBF as well as a 1/48 Hobby Boss F8F-2 No commercial interest, was just passing the info on. Bigasshammm
If you don't mind the box it comes in and the subsequent purple plastic I believe you can get Hasegawa Tomcats for less than 25$. HERE!
dnl42
Was looking for photos of the E-2C I'm doing, the CAG aircraft from VAW-115 on USS KITTY HAWK, June 2006. Found this site, that has, in the last row, pictures that may be useful to others in this GB, too.

I'm not sure whether the laugh or cry! But, you're right, looks like a good source of plastic...
dnl42
There's a sale at Squadron on through Sunday, July 28. There a bunch of Grumman on sale. I noticed the Roden OV-1B is $25, the OV-1C and OV-1D are $21, and the Squadron Signal OV-1 Mohawk All Walk Around is $5. Don't recall anybody saying they were going to build one... Today's Daily Special has the Hasegawa F6F-5 "Pacific Aces" on sale for $26 I have no interest in Squadron, just trying to help people fill their closets...
SatelliteChaser
Quick question for anyone with experience with these parts: can someone confirm the aires cockpit set for the 1:72 f-14a (hasegawa) will fit the (what i assume is) old mold (raised panel line) kit? I have the verlinden resin set, but the dimensions are off/doesn't fit, so i assume it's for the newer release. Thanks in advance!
