dnl42
Very cool! So, we've got E-2C's in 1/144, 1/72, and 1/48! This is the Kinetic plastic with different decals, right? Edited July 31, 2013 by David N Lombard
martin_sam_2000
Very cool! So, we've got E-2C's in 1/144, 1/72, and 1/48! This is the Kinetic plastic with different decals, right? It is. I initially thought it was the kinetic moulds with Italeri plastic..but it is straight Kinetic sprues. I actually prefer the Italeri boxing; More decal options a few extra bits and pieces in the box. martin_sam_2000
Picture time! As you can see. I have added a few bolts to act as nose weight. I am hoping it will be enough. Thanks, Sean Edited August 3, 2013 by martin_sam_2000
phantom
It will not be enough. Add a bunch of those.
martin_sam_2000
It will not be enough. Add a bunch of those. Hmm...I have already glued the fuselage together . I think I am going to dry fit it all together, and if I have to, jam as much weight into the engine necelles as possible. Thanks for the heads up! Sean
martin_sam_2000
sorry for the delay everybody. Things have been busy around here. I have been getting work done on this, just not as much as I would have liked. I am in the midst of painting this one and it is looking great. and Phantom, you were right, I did a quick dryfit and that was not nearly enough weight!!!! I have decided to remedy the problem by using the tail hook as a stand to hold the tail up. Hopefully it works!!! Here are some pitctures: Thanks for looking, Sean
martin_sam_2000
Plugging along on this one..albeit slowly. I have the base colour down, a bit of weathering and most of the black detail. I hope to mask and get the white details painted over the weekend. I will try to get some new pictures soon. Sean

martin_sam_2000
No pictures till this is done. I have all the decals on and the majority of the weathering is done. I just need to spray a bit of exhaust, flat coat and then add the fiddly bits. Should be done in the next week or so!!! Stay tuned for the completed kit!!! dnl42
Outstanding! From your sig, looks like all three are at the same state. We're waiting for the unveiling!
martin_sam_2000
after realising i had mixed up the pictures, here is the pictures of how I fixed the tail sitting probem. and to solve the tail sitting problem...I cheated a little bit: I used a small piece of round plastic to make a kind of tail stand, but since it is incorporated into the tail hook, only a few people will even notice that I have done it.
