spellbinder99
While browsing through the internet today I came across pictures of the McDonnell 119 and dayum! it is a pretty aircraft! It has a real B-58 look to it, a pity only the prototype was ever built as it lost to the Jetstar in the USAF comp it was built for. C'mon Jennings, I KNOW you have to have an opinion on this bird.....:} I bet there has never been a kit of it either....:( Cheers Tony

bzn20
Learn something new everyday and this is todays news to me! Great looking thing and spellbinder99 is right, very B-58esque. Thanks for bringing this to me. Google it and see all the images Edited July 19, 2013 by bzn20
boeing767mech
This is a sexy little airplane, only wish I will get picked up and put in a museum. Bit of useless information is you can see the ghostly outline of the Convair 990 that was scrapped there last year. Hopefully the owner doesn't scrap this airplane also. Jennings
She was a sexy beast. McDonnell used it as a company airplane for many years. Bizarrely, the one and only 119 ever built still exists and is sitting abandoned (but for sale) in El Paso, Texas. I remember finding it on Google Earth at one point. robert61267
Its actually under restoration to flight status, or at least that was the plan a couple of months back when a friend sent me a PDF article on it. As with all things, funding is the big issue. Bob
