11bee
I'm about to start applying lozenge decals to my DVII. My question is - since other decals are applied over the lozenge (serial numbers, personal markings, etc), do I need to gloss coat the lozenge decals to avoid silvering or can I apply the other markings direct to the lozenge? Any advice is greatly appreciated. John
Poppop
I apply the decals right over the lozenge decals and have had no silvering problems.
FLYHY
Decal on top of decal. Should be no problem.
Jennings
The reason you put down a gloss coat is to make a rough paint surface smooth so the decal will lay down without air under it. The surface of a silkscreen printed decal is about as smooth as it gets.
11bee
Jennings is right. The decals on my DVII went down perfectly on the lozenge. No issues, no special tricks (except having to use the hairdryer to get a couple of large ones to snuggle down tight).
