A-10 LOADER
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the F-111, miss it dearly. Came out very well. Like your map added to the pilots dash. I'm curious what are the dimensions ( length, width ) of the model as she sits finished. I have the Academy / Minicraft kit in 1/48th I hope to do one day. Is this HB kit better ? B2Blain
Wow! Best Vark I've seen. I have a HB EF-111A in the mail and I had second thought as I was going to use the Squadron canopy and was wondering how I was going to get it to fit. How easy was it to get it to fit? Any build up photos? Also, what brand of paint did you use? Did you lighten the colors? Thanks!
Fly-n-hi
Nicely done! I've been thinking about getting one of these.
falcon20driver
Wow, just wow! That is a super clean build with a perfect paint job. Any tips on the technique you used to paint it? The finish just looks perfect.

Steve HB is in another league Wow! Best Vark I've seen. Any build up photos? Also, what brand of paint did you use? Did you lighten the colors? Thanks! It a big kit 19"long 18"wide. The vac canopy just drops in with a little filler at the sides as its a tiny bit too narrow. No build photos sorry. Xtracolor paints lightened with white Wow, just wow! That is a super clean build with a perfect paint job. Any tips on the technique you used to paint it? The finish just looks perfect. I sprayed the base color straight on top of the primer to give a good solid color ,then added white to about 70/30 then sprayed random patches( it looks a bit drastic ) then misted over with the base color to blend it all in. Not difficult and after decals a coat of Vallejo matt from a rattle can. Easy really Edited August 8, 2013 by Darth Vader

AnthonyWan
Aren't El Dorado Canyon F-111's all -F models? I wasn't aware that Hobbyboss did an F. Then again my knowledge of Aardvarks is pretty rudimentary at best :P/> Either way that is an excellent build, love the paintscheme you did! :) Edited August 11, 2013 by AnthonyWan

Then again my knowledge of Aardvarks is pretty rudimentary at best /> Either way that is an excellent build, love the paintscheme you did! That's what I thought, too. But after looking at the sprues and the message boards, it seems this is more of an F that comes with decals to build a D or an E. I THINK the only thing that doesn't come out of the box to make an F are the exhaust nozzles. I know for sure that the PAVE TACK pod comes with the kit. Mr. Vark or ElectroSoldier would have a much better idea of what is right and wrong with this kit as far as making an F model. Inaccuracies aside, I'm picking one of these bad boys up. Here's a link to the instructions and pictures of the sprues. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10106754
metroman
YOWZA!!! EXACTLY how I hope mine turns out, whenever that one company decides to get off their can and make the proper 'F' cans (why in the heck would you release anything other than the -F?) Great, great job sir!

Yes its got the wrong nozzels, intakes and cockpit but it sure was a great build. So much so Ive got the Raven on order.

Only difference I see is the D/E comes with different decals, and an extra sprue with GBU-10/15/24/28s, and an AGM-142.
