deadmeat
You know...I think I broke a printer at work once by accident. However, nowhere on my resume does it say that I cost the US Navy a half billion dollar attack sub. The poor dude's FICO score must be a mess. :) Sad to see though. HOLMES
... So he sets fires to get out work.. well now he has 17 years off work ... Inside. It does not say he was a naval person..so may I ask was he a civilian subcontracted to paint the inside after being security cleared or was Fury a naval man carrying out the painting and the sand blasting.. And because I don't know these things,if he was a civilian would he not have someone watch him carry out his work... Bad news for the crew of the USS Miami.. Hope THOSE injured have recovered..probably suffering from PTDs..poor things. Edited August 8, 2013 by HOLMES

Fellow Hobbyist
Curious...If the Navy can't come up with the $400 Million to pay for repairs....how is the disposal of the sub along with it's reactor going to be any less expensive?

Kevan Vogler
FURY was reckless as to endanger life ...just so he could go see his girlfriend... :explode:/>/> http://firegeezer.com/2013/03/15/submarine-arsonist-sentenced/ Senseless act ... :cop:/>/> Going by what's said in your link, he wanted to confront his cheating girlfriend. I have the distinct feeling that if he's of the mind to commit arson to get out of work, he'd also be of the mind to confront an unfaithful girlfriend in an armed state. I think we could just have easily seen him go to court for murdering an ex girlfriend. In any case he clearly isn't playing with a full deck and what he is playing with is well shuffled. HOLMES
I agree with you Kevsn.. He sounds like. Man whose mind was and is unbalanced.. He is the kind of person /man/woman that will hold that grudge even whilst serving the 17years.. His girlfriend was spared by his wrath but seven personnel on USS MIAMI were injured ..not sure to what extent but cannot imagine having lungs full of acrid smoke etc is going to be an easy ride.. ;)

HOLMES
That's it, I'm switchin to acrylics! ....no ..use watercolors.. Acrylic paints { water based emulsion} are composed if synthetic acrylic resins and pigments with many additives usually including ammonia containing stabilizer and Formaldehyde preservatives. The small amounts of ammonia and formaldehyde released during drying can cause respiratory irritation and allergies.etc..CAN CAUSE CANCER due to the additive FORMADELHYDE So lots of AIR AND OPEN VENTILATIONS... Jennings
There you go again, trying to use common sense and logic with the federal government. Let's not even get into the "logic" of the sequester cuts, which is the reason this whole thing is happening. The "cuts" in spending from the sequester are FAR outpaced by the increased costs to the government of unforeseen consequences of the cuts. Additional Medicare expenses alone account for a huge chunk of it. I see the results of it each and every day at work. Idiocy.
