Airline Hobby Supplies out of AZ...

Recommended Posts

Hey again. I'm looking for a bunch of decal sets for some projects, and Airline Hobby Supplies seems to have all of them listed, meaning for each set, there is nothing saying "out of stock" on the web page.

Like I mentioned, I'm short on time, so your feedback will determine if I order them now or later. I read on the website that USPS priority is available. so thats a plus.

Nice decals and good subjects. Just remember it is a one man operation and with his other work, you probably won't get the decals real fast. If you are short on time might want to look else where.

If you dont mind waiting for a month or two for him to ship the stuff, then his service still is the only one out there.

I had a bad experience with him last time. I waited for over 4 months for an email saying my stuff was ready to ship. all the items were on backorder aparently. EVERYTHING I ordered was showing in stock on his site. I asked him to cancel it, but he still sent me emails for 2 more months asking me to confirm my CC number so he could ship.

You have to remember that Russell runs his online shop as a hobby and to help folks like us out. He still has a full time job like most of us. And yes some orders may take longer to come, but you always get the goods you've paid for!!!

Thank you fellas, you guys have been exceptionally helpful.

Seems like a long shot that I'll get the decals before I fly on Friday, so I'll just wait, but I will check on the Two-Six and Hannants web page for what I'm looking for.

"there is nothing saying "out of stock" on the web page."

Send Russ an email check the item availability, he usually response quick. I did wait for couple month for few items before, because he cannot get the decals from the supplier. Russ is running an one man show, but I never have the problem with him.

Folks,

I would like to give me 2 cents on the matter of AHS and their issue with regard to deliveries. For those of you who do not know, Russell has taken a position with a company that now only allows him to handle AHS as a part-time function. He alone is responsible for receiving shipment of product, packaging and shipping to customers, invoicing and handling any IT issues that affect online ordering. He no longer has the luxury (if you wish to call it that) of being able to run AHS as a full-time operation as he did a while back. I too have made purchases from him within the past year. There is no doubt that he is spending a good deal of time handling the emails as well as orders from his customers. I know him personally and have worked with him on several occasions. I only thing I can ask is to please have patience with AHS. I cannot promise you that your orders will be at your doorstep tomorrow, but ask that you please be patient.

Thank you.

Thanks for all the replies.

However, due to the non-availability of even the most basic modeling supplies in the country I'm currently working and living in, I've decided to shelve the project until I return to the states for good, however many years that may be...
