ijozic
In addition, how long we have to wait for your Mig-25 ? Or, how much time we have to try to sell our KH MiG-25's.. :)
Martin @ AMK Models
In addition, how long we have to wait for your Mig-25 ? Or, how much time we have to try to sell our KH MiG-25's.. :)/> Not too long. I believe Q2-3 of 2016. Don't hold me to it though. Anything can happen during this time. Like I said, we will not allow a poor kit out of the factory. Technically, the longer it takes the better it will be :)
punder
Martin, you guys are dang impressive. Doing it right. Can't wait to see these kits.

MoFo
So when do you expect these to actually start shipping, Martin? Going to be a busy winter between this, the Kinetic Su-33 and the Modelsvit Tu-22. :D
Martin @ AMK Models
It should be out the door to the distributors this week. If they are Ex-Works then tomorrow.

Martin @ AMK Models
YAY! Any idea which retailer will have it first? They should all get them at exactly the same time. We have made sure of it. The model is not allowed out of a shop door until December 1st. Congratulations Martin and Sio! Thanks Patrick. Much obliged sir.

lesthegringo
Pretty picky I know, but any chance of some Tamiya / Gunze etc equivalencies on those paint charts? Cheers, I look forward to it appearing here in Aus Les
Berkut
Pretty picky I know, but any chance of some Tamiya / Gunze etc equivalencies on those paint charts? Cheers, I look forward to it appearing here in Aus Les While a fair enough critique i have never quite understood why there is a need for that for modelbuilders. I mean 7 of those colors are very basic and more or less doesn't matter what brand you pick. For the more complex colors there are FS codes provided. Tamiya color selection is pretty narrow, there is what, 6 grey colors for example, should be straight forward to find match that is close enough for number 6 and 9. lesthegringo
I see where you are coming from - after all it seems the manufacturers all seem to have their own versions of each colour, but if the guys doing the research are able to say 'this one is pretty close' it always helps simplify. Also, go to the different comparison charts, and you can guarantee that they never agree on what colour is an equivalent! Cheers

Also, go to the different comparison charts, and you can guarantee that they never agree on what colour is an equivalent! That's pretty much what any manufacturer would do, though. With questionable results (for instance: look up the RAL and FS colours AMK call out for the cockpit teal). If you want an easy, no-fuss paint match: AKAN x3005 (cockpit green), x3006 (faded cockpit green), x3010 (radome grey), x3059 (faded airframe grey), x3060 (wheel green). The FS colors needed some fixing for sure, me and Martin just went through those among with other issues in the instruction sheets.
Martin @ AMK Models
OK we listened. Berkut and I just went through it all again last night. The results so far on the manual. I think the modeller is clever enough to work out the colours for themselves with help using our FS references. I am not sure whether it is even right to use FS on Russian aircraft to be fair. We will discuss this at length again. Anyway, updated paint manual and newer shots.
