Flankerman
It was supposed to be fully restored for MAKS 2013. They did some work, but then decided to not bother anymore and/or run out of money. Almost guarantied that project had no government support whatsoever. Thanks for all the pictures everyone. :thumbsup:/>/> It looked like this at MAKS 2011..... .....and this in 2012..... I didn't spot it this year - exactly where was it iaf-man ??? Wayfarer 30
Amazing pictures. I hope to make it one day! Thank you for sharing!
iaf-man
It's such a pity that this piece of history is being ignored by the authorities. It sits beyond the runway (used for the show),to the left of the fence(used to stop the general public).))))))))
Flankerman
Most of my pics of the static display are similar to dawestsides - except for his awesome flying shots (I can't compete with those). Here are some of my more oddball pics........ I spotted Sukhoi/UAC Chief Mikhail Pogosyan walking about (the guy in the blue suit) ...... Students from MAI posing with the public. MAI's Mr SuperHero...... I found this model in one of the small pavillions - Vakhmistrov's Zveno-6 'Aviamatka' combination .... almost as good as mine. .... and yes - it really flew :woot.gif:/>/>/>/>/>/> Brake parachutes..... Drooped TVC nozzles on the Su-35S....... Drooped flaps on the Tu-144.. The original 'egg-plane'..... VMT 'Atlant' cargo...... My 'proper' MAKS pics (plus trip report and Beijing visit) are here. Enjoy Ken
