pgpelect
I opened his outstanding topic a couple of weeks ago and I was astonished by the quality of his work. I didn't know him but reading here and there, I come to the conclusion that he was a Gentleman in any way. And this makes his loss even sadder. Rest in peace Mr. Fred. We shall remember you. richter111
I recall where the Iranian Air Force got caught passing his photos off as proof of their military might during the Iran/Iraq war, that was how good his work was. A great talent in the modeling world, his talent will be missed.

Eri
I ve always wanted to try this method of putting the diorama on top of his car when taking photos with the aerodrome as the background. I will always remember his amazing work, a benchmark which i ll never reach. Prayers to his family. RIP Fred

HOLMES
An update.. Late tonight I Received an email from FRED SHAMMAS's friend ( and former IIAF PILOT) Major Farhad NASSIRKHANI who said that Mr SHAMMAS was found dead in his Tehran home alone having suffered what appears to be a heart attack. That must have been terrifying ordeal to go through for FRED all on his own.. May his Soul Rest in Peace. Edited October 14, 2013 by HOLMES

Tony P
Hey Steve, In relation to Fred's Saeqheh model on the front page for Tuesday the 8th. You note that Fred chose to paint his in the colors on the Blue Angels. technically that's incorrect. The Iranians actually painted it in that scheme to look like the Blue Angels:
