1/48 Su-33 Sea Flanker

the fit of these parts is rather impressive! ...and it appears that there will be no need of resin aftermarket landing gear bays on that kit!(which is a very welcome feature!)

thanks for these updates Zactoman!

Wing-fold stuff taped in place:

Some pit parts fitted:

While there are some things that need to be adjusted before it's released, my conclusion so far is that it's a pretty awesome kit.

I think I need to build and paint one...

Judging from what i have seen of test sprues and CAD's, i will almost claim that this kit won't need aftermarket anything. :)

now I'm scared to know how much this thing is gonna cost...

Given the size and complexity of the tooling, I guess that the price should be about the same as the price of the GWH F-15 so 115 USD MSRP. We'll see soon enough.

Had the privilege of meeting Chris (Zactoman) at the local IPMS meeting last night. He brought the test shot of the SU-33 and all I can say is WOW. The detail in the above posted photos are fantastic but to see in person is incredible!! I cannot comment on the fit of the kit however the detail, especially the rivit detail, is outstanding! The detail in the wing-fold really blew me away! Chris still did not have a release date but whenever it is released it will have been well worth the wait.
