Acrylic paint and priming

  1. 1. If you use acrylic paints, are you used to prime your plastic models before painting ?

I have always washed and primed my models,,,,,,well, from the time I started painting them, that is

I continued to wash and prime after changing over to Acrylics, mostly because some of the colors I "need" are Model Master, Vallejo and the Italeri

The Aeromaster and PolyScale I have been buying recently don't seem to always need a primer coat,,,,,,,but, I still do it.

you can get so many different colors of primer now, that sometimes the primer works as the actual "first paint color" when airbrushing a model

Resin models - yes, I do prime. I also sometimes prime seams and other spots I extensively worked on. Other than that, no. This for models which I airbrush. Metal and resin minis (figures), which I paint with a paintbrush, I always prime.
