Supertom
Hey everybody, I'm trying to cut a disk-shaped piece out of a kit wing for a modification. Is there a tool that you guys can think of, where I can "core" the wing section?
MickeyThickey
As in, drilling a hole? You could use a circle cutter, but it'd be a bit of a hassle. If you don't need to save the 'core', you could obviously use a drill. If you do need the core, but are willing to accept some damage to it, you could use a hole saw. You can probably also get coring bits for drills too, but I'd imagine they don't come anything like cheap. What on EARTH are you trying to do, anyway?!?
Supertom
Well I need to cut holes that are like, 10mm in diameter. Wouldn't you just LOVE to know what I'm up to? Tease!
Chuck1945
A circle template for drafting would be one method. Find the 10mm circle and scribe it on the wing surface. If you dont need to save the inner part, you can drill and file to the scribe line. If you need to save the cut out as well, repeated scribings will eventually cut through the plastic.
