F-4E Phantom questions and building process

Sorry for the long delay, but I was busy with other stuff and also had a weekend of flu behind me.

This is what happened before the flu:

And this is how the model looks right now, with the second green painted, while the other green and the tan got a second layer. Clear parts are also on:

Looks good, but if I may, the leading edge of the stabs should be unpainted metal, not just the inner section.

You can see it here on a F-4F, they had unslotted stabs, but it's the same for every Phantom:

No, no additional weathering.

Today I grabbed some sheet of paper and a fine-liner and made some sort of Tarmac:
