Aigore
Right! A new project...still taking a wee bit of pause from the Kfirs for a while longer. Got into my head to do more props instead, it´s really relaxing since I don´t know that much about props so I think I won´t go into a bad AMS-state :P It´ll be right out of the box, nutting fancy... Well what´s the subject then? It´s the Italeri boxing of Accurate Miniatures B-25D in 1/48th scake I begun with impaling parts on toothpicks as per ritual :P Cleaned up the body halfes and attached some stuff into them.... And then I primed it all with Alclad grey primer. I painted the cockpit area with Tamyia XF-5, the bomb bay with alclad white aluminium and the rest in Life color Zinc chrome yellow. And the small stuff got the same colors :D I rather doubt much will be seen of the splendor inside the fuselage so I won´t go over board....too much... with painting and detailing inside the fuselage That´s all for now! Cheers!
Gary F
Nice subject Janne. Good to see you back at it.

Aigore
Done a wee bit of more work on the mitchell :D Everything that goes into the fuselage is a detail painted and ready for a clear coat. On with the future coat... And then a wash on top of that... A little wipe off with a cotton cloth.... And then a flat coat on top of that. With the prep work done it´s just a bit of dry brushing and then some fine detail paining to be done before it´s build time :D I´ll concentrate on the cockpit since I doubt much of the other stuff will be seen very well without opening uo the fuselage :P Cheers! Aigore
OK, moving on.... The cockpit and the bubble nose interiors are drybrushed. Then some detail painting of the knobs, buttons and levers....the white stuff in the instrumen faces are Life color gloss clear. With that it was time to start puttign things together :D/> The pit assembled... Well, one thing this buld will need is counter weights and there are few places to put them :/ The fuel tank that goes into the bomb bay got a wee extra load... The interior of the fuselage is coming into place...not much room for counter weights :P/> I put some more in the nose wheel well...won´t be seen once the fuselage is closed since there´s only a small door open for the nose wheel. The pit into place in the fuselage. Some more weight behind the instrument panel... There ya go... Next I´ll be dipping clear parts in future and mask them and put the windows in place in the fuselage before closing the fuselage. Cheers!
chukw
Oboy- a neat B-25! Good stuff, Aigore- that looks like a ton of fun!
Aigore
Thanks chuk, happy you liked it :D
Aigore
Today´s progress :D Here are all the clear parts to be dipped in Future.... Here´s the dorsal turret, the cupola has been dipped in future, looking nice and clear. I found out by looking at refs that the thing that looks like a frame crossing the cupola actually isn´t a frame and shouldn´t be painted. All the interiors are in place and all the windows....I hope... The never ending masking process has begun :P Taking a break from masking and glueing the fuselage halfs together.... Well, sadly I managed to pop a couple of windows :( Darn fragile stuff, gotta ponder on how to solve that...I´m not breaking open the fuselage again! Oh well... Cheers! Devilleader501
I have accidentally popped a couple of windows out like that myself. I just reached in with the end of a knife with tape rolled backwards in order to bring it back to where it fell off and used a drop of CA on two of the corners to glue it back into place. It was my CH-53 that I did it with come to think of it. Worked quite well.
