mirrage
Does anyone know if this version of the F-14A is like all the rest? I mean is it with recessed panel lines, right shaped nose etc or an older version with raised panel lines and wrong shape nose? HASEGAWA 1/48 51513 SP13 F-14A Tomcat "Black Bunny/Low Visibility" Thank you all in advance! Edited November 26, 2013 by mirrage
Andre
AFAIK there is, unlike in Gentlemen's Scale, only one Hasegawa F-14 tooling in 1/48th. HTH, Andre
habu2
Agree with Andre. The differences the OP mentions apply only to the 1/72 Hasegawa F-14 kits.
Skull Leader
There has been a slight variance in the 1/48 kits but it only affects the fit of the intakes (after a certain point, the molds were modified to fit a little better). It should be a standard 1/48 hasegawa. Same plastic as the vanilla "Pacific squadrons" boxing that is so common
mirrage
Guys sorry for the late response..... Thanks a lot for your answers!!!
dehowie
There are two toolings however the first one is long gone. It only appeared in the first boxing i think which was Pacific Squadrons. It was retooled wigh mods to nose and intakes and repopped in the Jolly Rogers boxing labelled retool on the box. Minor changes the intakes made quite a difference in fit..
