B2 Rick
My Local Lowes swapped out its lacquer for a new VOC (volatile organic compound). Not realizing there was a difference to old style lacquer, I quickly discovered that the VOC style when used as a thinner will not allow some enamel paints to fully dry, even after two days. Lacquer without VOC dried overnight. Heads up!
Don Wheeler
I would just add that any time you try a new thinner, test it first. I mix a tiny bit in a saucer to see how it mixes and dries. I learned the hard way by mixing tempera paint and alcohol in my airbrush cup. Don
volzj
I think it's probably actually LOW VOC. The VOCs are the fast solvents that evaporate quickly, but are more harmful health wise. Low VOC materials while being more friendly to your health and the environment are are generally tougher to work with.
